April 14th 2010 RTA announces $2 billion cost for highway upgrade between Mount Victoria and Lithgow

The Blackheath Highway Action group was formed in 2008 to mitigate the damage that will be caused by the scheduled upgrade of the Great Western Highway during 2009/10 from Sydney to the Central West of NSW.
The proposed upgrade of the highway between Mt Victoria and Lithgow is a very complex project. Mastering the detail and understanding the implications is the key to the success of our campaign to save Blackheath and the Blue Mountains. It's a big job, especially when we don't have access to the resources of massive departments full of bureaucrats. However if we continue to work together we can win!

more than 3500 Submissions have now been officially handed over to the RTA! ! Please help us continue this fantastic response to save our mountains! please sign our petition @ http://saveourmountains.org.au/
