Have your say on Blackheath tunnel - by 28 November

Thanks to community pressure, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) are allowing an additional 2 weeks to attend an online consultation session and provide feedback on the options for the Great Western Highway upgrade at Blackheath with an extension until 28 November 2020.

BAG has been working with other local community groups under the Blackheath Area Community Alliance to produce a flyer and pro forma submission asking people to reject the Short Tunnel option for the Great Western Highway, which would result in significant loss of homes and also Sutton Park.

You can download and print the flyer below and drop off to Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre or Richardson & Wrench in Blackheath.

The creation of the Blackheath Highway Action Group (BAG) was originally an initiative taken by the Blackheath Area Neighbourhood Centre (BANC) and the Blackheath Chamber of Commerce.


In mid 2020 following the growth of membership in recent years and the emergence of new critical issues concerning the proposed duplication of the Great Western Highway through Blackheath, BAG separately incorporated to become an independent not for profit organisation. BAG retains and builds constructive relationships with many Blackheath, Blue Mountains and broader NSW organisations. Read more...
